When casting models produced outside of Golden Sun, we can only issue a cost of material credit for casting redos. The various model-making systems, processes, practices, issues regarding cleanliness, curing, design integrity and material quality are factors out of our control, and have negative effects on quality.
The following return policy only applies when Golden Sun makes the models in our shop:
- When a casting is defective and not workable (micro-porosity, porosity throughout), we will give full credit for metal returned to the customer’s account and credit toward a replacement.
- There are some cases where customer’s 3D drawings (CAD Files) make casting problematic or impossible. Certain designs and attributes just aren’t ideal for casting. We will let you know if it’s an issue, and if the issue is not addressed and the casting has problems we will only offer metal cost credit for metal returned if a redo is necessary.
- Redo’s will be processed no later than the next printing/casting cycle after a return request is processed.
- Metal returned on rush jobs will be credited towards a replacement (once received) at our cost. Metal must be returned within 15 calendar days (10 business days)
- Redo’s due to design changes and mistakes by the customer will be credited at cost of the metal only and issued an account credit.
- In the even that stones are set and problems are discovered, you may return the piece and we can try to repair it. If it cannot be repaired we will produce a replacement casting ASAP.
- If you should choose to hire a 3rd party establishment to do major repairs due to time constraints, we will issue a credit for the labor charges for laser welding only. This option is only available as a last resort. If a laser welder is not available, we will provide an appropriate, reasonable account credit.
- All returns must be made within 15 calendar days (10 business days)
- A free return shipping label will be issued if you fill out our casting feedback form.
